The Minotaur by IzzyMedrano The Minotaur by IzzyMedrano
Orestes Yambouranis, AKA The Minotaur
Age 37
7’5” , 286 Lb/ 130 kg
Black hair
Black eyes
Medium Dark skin

Languages: Greek, Broken English

Weapon: 357 Taurus w/ scope

The Minotaur grew up in a Greek Orphanage. Suffering daily humiliation on account of his gigantism, and severe scoliosis. The mildly retarded giant, grew to detest children after frequent accounts of horrendous abuses. Once released from the orphanage he was picked up as muscle by one of the islands small organized crime groups.

Quickly rising through the ranks, the Minotaur became feared and reviled in criminal under-world as the hitman that would take the jobs no one else would consider. Mostly he is contracted for women and children.

It is rumored that he “collects” the distal small finger bone from every hit, and he keeps them in his trophy briefcase, which he never parts with.

I had to check your site, but I figured you MUST have gone to ACMA. Fucking awesome dude. Yambo was the best teacher.

Hehehe! He was great. So many violent and horrifying memories. I hear he's retired and moved out of state. I'm jealous. I did go to 'acma' but long before it was ever called that. I am not really sure what it stands for even. When I went, it was just dirty old C. E. Mason. School for weirdos, druggies, and preggie chicks! Awesome.
suatre Featured By Owner Apr 22, 2010
hell yeah! it was CE Mason for a year or two when I was there, then turned into acma. I was in the weirdo category. Yambo taught my choir class and it was amazing.

There was a choir class??
suatre Featured By Owner May 8, 2010
Haha, well, at one point there was. The school did become performing arts oriented, after all.

Allright! Cool stuff, the concept is spot on. I always hate when people have no feel for that kinda stuff. Picking the wrong age n so on... Good work indeed! I like the painting style, remindes me a bit of Phil Hale somehow, I guess its the way ya did the clothes... dunno. Sweat pic anyways!

Nice stuff; really reminiscent of Phil Hale, one of my faves.

frightening guy. Again, wonderful colour choices - I particularly like the strong blue background, with that colour echoed in his legs. Man, you have some serious talent. (:

Viewing your work from a "commercial" perspective: This visual is a fascinating one. You have managed to capture the raw hardness in spirit through the scarred expression of the character, the position and movement of his head and the slouch of his shoulders. I particularly like your work on his features, the jacket and the details of his firearm. It easily conveys the image of a "thug" and a dangerous one, so you have succeeded in illustrating the spirit of the character and delivering his viled mission and "objective" as a heartless assassin of women and children.

On the "collection" of the distal small fingers of his victims - that would mean close encounter hits ... and sufficient time to remove that particular body-part ... the briefcase may not enable movement for that, but I suppose you'll have it illustrated for us in the next instalment.

Fascinating piece.
