just messing about with painter. Couple of hours betwixt the two women. Sort of 'psuedo' speed paintings from photos. Just honing...

expect more in the future!

Someone else sort of made this comment already, but I feel the same:  I can't shake the notion that these two women are the same person - either a young woman fearing the future, or an older woman fondly remembering her youth.  The contrast (whether you intended it or not) and the ambiguity about whether it's retro- or antero-looking gives it weight in the mind.
I know you stated you only did these two for practice, and their appearance beside one another is just co-incidence - but art works out more poignant than intended sometimes.  ^^

Hahah! 'Sissies'. Yeah, my Intuos3 is my baby. But I still pine for a Cintiq sometimes. Like Hot Pockets.

Personally, I think your pussy looks fine.

That has to be one of the weirder compliments I've ever given. But, having one and dating one...

Anyway. I always love your use of color. Even in this quick sketch, your use of green on one side and red on the other really divides the two women perfectly, along with the cool/warm skin tone division.

Well at least SOMEONE appreciates my pussy!

I'm glad you are having one and dating one... I have yet to find the one that can really handle me. ;P

That a comment on your size, or your personality? Wink wink, nudge nudge. God, that wasn't clever, but it was probably the cold medicine talking.

I keep dachsunds wearing snorkels in my folds of fat... they do the cleaning for me... find old sandwiches, and lost magazines in there... I call them my lard hounds.

It's great to see more of your personal work again, although all of your pieces are quite interesting and very good, I am fond of your females, particularily the piece entitled "Lovers" and "Cogitating Chloe." I look forward to the expected future releases.

I know these aren't supposed to be master sketches but the nude woman's crotch area seems off. Both of these figures are nice to look at but the one with clothes on makes me wonder about what she's doing, who she is, and wtf was she thinking with that outfit... just more interesting than a pretty naked girl. And.... I'm babbling! Looking forward to more as usual. =)

*laughs* You miss twat, are impossible to please. There'll be more soon. I'll work on my pussies and ears. ^_^ I agree, the clothed woman is more interesting... I'm just practicing up on tits. Considering my lack of any, painting them has always been a challenge.

this is mostly oils, and watercolor as an 'oils' glaze.

I agree with Zombie your sense of value is immense. Combined with the loose and dare I say free application of the paint. It makes me wonder how much angst and frustration goes into making these look so whimsical. Or does it just flow out of you easily with confident joy. If itís the second I really hate you. As an old dog trying to learn a new trick (painting programs) I wonder how would you compare it to traditional paint and canvas.

I think it largely depends on the programs. Painter and a couple of others reach a decent approximation of what it is to paint traditionally. You sacrifice tactile response, and the random shape of brush strokes for ease of use, and lack of clean up time. It's a fair trade. but I don't really like to compare them. It's sort of like asking which is better... Oils or Gouache? All three are just different mediums. If you use a computer with it's strengths in mind, you will find it to be an absolutely AWESOME tool.

you have such a good understanding of value and color and form, I always stare at your paintings for a long time. Actually I like the quick studies even better, they show all the wonderful particularities of your technique.
